Australia’s biggest morning tea

May is the month for australia’s biggest morning tea, where people all over the country host morning teas to raise money for cancer research. my husband paullie’s friends from his work baked a few treats, and they sent paullie home with a request for a couple smallbirdie aprons for the event.

so, i made two aprons from this simple pattern i came up with…

i made my own bias binding for the whole border of the apron, and sewed it on. i then cut ties for the neck and waist ties in matching fabric and sewed them on.

next, was the pocket…very simple. i cut out an applique, and attached it to my pocket, and sewed on bias binding to the top of the pocket. then, just sewed the pocket onto the apron…

…and you’re all done!
