The Flower Basket Cradle Purse


Materials:
2 colors Worsted Weight Yarn-MC/CC
Crochet Hook “G”
4″ Doll or bear

CRADLE
Starting at base of cradle, with white, ch 20 .

Rnd 1:Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each of next 15 ch make 5 dc in last ch, working along opposite side of starting ch, dc in next 16 ch, 4 dc in last ch …42 dc Join with sl st to top of ch 3.

Rnds 2:Ch 3, 2FPDC, *3BPDC,3FPDC. Rep * around. Join to top of ch-3

Rnds 3:Rep Rnd 2

Rnds 4:Ch 3, 2BPDC, *3FPDC,3BPDC. Rep * around. Join to top of ch-3

Rnds 5:Rep Rnd 4.

Continue repeating rows 2-5 for a total of 9 rows. TURN,

Skirt
[(2dc,ch2,2dc)-shell made]

1. Working this rnd in back loops, Ch3, (dc,ch 2, 2dc) in same st as joining. Sk 2 sts, *Shell in next, sk 3 sts, shell, sk 2 sts. Rep * around. Join to beg ch 3. (13 shells around)

2. Sl st into next ch 2 sp. Ch 3, (dc, ch2,2dc) in sp, Shell in each ch 1 sp around. Join. Rep rnd 2 for a total of 4 rows in skirt. Attatch white and work one more row 2 around skirt. Fasten off

CRADLE HOOD
Fold cradle and find center, top, 21 sts. Mark each end of the 21 center sts.

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in joining, sc in each st to next marked st (21 sc) Ch 2, turn.

Row 2: Hdc in next sc, dc in each sp to last 2 sc, hdc in last 2 sc, ch 2, turn.

Row 3: Hdc in next st, dc in each st to last st and turning ch; hdc in last st and in top of ch-2.

Row 4: Skip next hdc, hdc in next dc, (skip next dc, dc in next dc) 5 times, skip next dc next dc, skip next hdc, hdc in top of ch-2. Ch 1, turn.

EDGING:
Rnd 1: sc in all free loops around top edge of cradle Fasten off.

DRAWSTRING
(make 2) –With 2 strands together, Ch 85 or to desired legnth. Fasten off. Starting at one end of cradle, weave chain over and under sts on Rnd 10.

Tie ends of chain together. Weave second chain over and under alternate sts on last row of skirt and tie ends of chain together at opposite end of cradle. Makes a drawstring at each end of purse. So it looks like this:
