13 Things Successful Women Know
Ever wondered what the secret to success is?
Knowing what we want is easier than knowing how to get it, especially when it comes to money and success. If only we could all sit down with our dream mentors and have them answer the question, “what is the secret to success?” What would they tell us? What sound advice would they give? In the coming months I plan to relaunch MTB and establish my brand. Establishing a brand is a lot of work and among that work includes that which we do on ourselves – mentally and emotionally. In preparing for my relaunch, I’ve done quite a bit of research, and the most helpful research I’ve done has been related to success. I’ve observed a common thread amongst the successful women I admire, and I thought I’d share. Below you’ll find 13 things I believe all successful women know.
Our thoughts are physical
If we dream or picture something and commit to it, THAT is a physical thrust of our thoughts and dreams into the universe and we will eventually realize them. Decide who you’re gonna be, and how you’re gonna do it and from that moment the universe will get out of your way.
Greatness exists in all of us
Greatness is not some elusive quality that only a few among us will taste! All you need to know is who you are and what you believe.
There’s no shortcut to success
“You may be smarter than me, you may be better than me, but you will NOT outwork me!” – Eric Thomas
Talent and skill are independent of each other. Talent comes naturally. Skill comes from hours of practice. You don’t have to be particularly talented, to excel. Excelling comes from a strong work ethic. Your talent will fail you if you don’t work hard and study. Dedicate yourself to being better each and every day!
Be willing to die for the truth
The truth is the only thing that will ever be constant in life. Stand for it.
Lay one “brick” at a time
You can’t start out trying to build the most perfect wall of all time. You must start by laying each brick as perfectly as you can. If you do this, one day, sure enough, you will have the most perfect wall ever built.
Attack your fears
Fear fear itself! Always attack your fears head on.
Focus on making a difference
If you’re gonna be here you have an obligation to making this world a better place. Do good! The world should be better because you were here! If you’re not making someone else’s life better you’re wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other people’s lives better.
Represent an idea
Represent possibilities. Represent the idea that you really can make whatever it is you want happen! Believe that you can create whatever you want to create.
You HAVE to BELIEVE!
“He who says he can, and he who says he can’t are usually both right” (Confucius)
You have to believe in your dreams before anyone else will! No plan ‘b’ is necessary, it only distracts from plan ‘a’. You have to believe that something different can happen.
Nothing is unrealistic
Being realistic is the quickest road to mediocrity. You have to think of things as possible! It was once unrealistic to think you could go into a room, flip a switch and have light.
Focus
It takes laser focus to get to a certain level of success. If you chase two rabbits, you won’t catch either of them.
Protect your dreams
Never let anyone tell you you can’t do something. If you want something go get it. Period.
Be yourself
Find out who you are and do it on purpose.
