Very Old Candy Canes #6
Today’s Craft in my Colonial Christmas Series is: make very olde candy canes!
I got the free candy cane pattern below. (then click on the download link.)
I placed the pattern diagonally across a brown and white striped piece of fabric. Sew, turn, stuff.
I grunged the candy canes heavily, applying an instant coffee mixture( 6 tbsp instant coffee to 1/2 cup of hot water.) I baked them in the oven at the lowest setting.
Here is the free label for your candy canes:
Print out onto brown cardstock. I found that it looked best ,putting the punched hole on the side of the “s”. (Where the star is)
I punched a hole into the label, and tied it to the candy cane using raffia. I added a faux rusty bell.
