A doily pillowcase

a while ago i bought new lamps for our bedroom. it took me quite a long time shopping around to find something that i liked, but didn’t cost a fortune. eventually i found these gorgeous white wooden lamps with latte coloured lamp shades. the only problem now was that i couldn’t find a nice cushion to match. so…i decided to make my own!

on one of my op shop outings, i picked up this intricate crocheted doily. i made a simple european size pillowcase from some neutral heavy cotton material, and hand stitched the doily                             on the front.

i love the finished product, and love that it was so cheap to make!
