Cardigan for Merry

Description:
This toddler cardigan is an adaptation of Kate Gilbert’s “A Cardigan for Arwen” from the Winter 2006 Interweave Knits magazine.

I resized it for a 12-18 month old, altered the construction to make it a raglan cardigan and added toggle buttons and loops.

You will need to refer to Kate’s charts for the very clever reversible cable.

Finished size:
18 months

Materials:
US2/3.0mm needles for cardigan
US 0 double pointed needles (DPNs) for button loops
7 x 50g balls of Knit Picks Andean Treasure in Lagoon
Kate Gilbertâ€™s Cardigan for Arwen pattern for the cable chart (see description above)

Gauge:
26 sts over 4 inches in stocking stitch using 3.0mm needles
