Top braids are a fun and stylish way to keep your hair out of your face while still looking chic. Here’s a simple tutorial on how to create two types of top braids:

Dutch Braided Crown:

Instructions:

  1. Start with clean, dry hair. Brush out any tangles or knots in your hair.
  2. Take a small section of hair from the front of your head and divide it into three equal parts.
  3. Begin a Dutch braid by crossing the right section under the middle section, then crossing the left section under the middle section. On each subsequent cross, add a small amount of hair to the right and left sections before crossing them under the middle section.
  4. Continue braiding around your head, adding hair to the braid as you go.
  5. Once you have reached the other side of your head, braid the remaining hair in a regular braid and secure it with an elastic band.
  6. Optional: Gently pull on the loops of hair in the braid to create a more voluminous look.
  7. Repeat the same steps on the other side of your head.
  8. Cross the two braids at the back of your head and secure them with bobby pins.
  9. Finish with a spritz of hairspray to keep the style in place.

Double French Braids:

Instructions:

  1. Start with clean, dry hair. Brush out any tangles or knots in your hair.
  2. Divide your hair into two equal sections, using a middle part.
  3. Take a small section of hair from the front of your head on one side and divide it into three equal parts.
  4. Begin a French braid by crossing the right section over the middle section, then crossing the left section over the middle section. On each subsequent cross, add a small amount of hair to the right and left sections before crossing them over the middle section.
  5. Continue braiding down the side of your head, adding hair to the braid as you go.
  6. Once you have reached the nape of your neck, braid the remaining hair in a regular braid and secure it with an elastic band.
  7. Repeat the same steps on the other side of your head.
  8. Cross the two braids at the back of your head and secure them with bobby pins.
  9. Optional: Gently pull on the loops of hair in the braids to create a more voluminous look.
  10. Finish with a spritz of hairspray to keep the style in place.

That’s it! With just a few simple steps, you can achieve two different types of top braids that are perfect for any occasion. These hairstyles can be customized by using different types of braids or by adding hair accessories like pins or flowers.
